The Rabenold family of Kutz
town showed both of the supreme
champions in the breeding swine
show, while the Billigs of New
Tripoli took top honors in the
market hog competition at the
Great Allentown Fair this week.
Samantha Rabenold, 13,
nudged her Hampshire gilt to the
top of the female breeding swine
competition. Her father Carl
Rabenold showed the top boar, a
Yorkshire.

“My dad had Hampshires for
probably 40 or 50 years,” Carl
Rabenold said.
The family began raising

about four years ago, according
to Carl.
