sizes. Elsewhere, prices were unchanged
but were trending higher. The market
tone was fully steady to instances firm.
Demand was light to good, best where
scattered features were in progress. Sup
plies were sufficient to tight for current
needs. Breaking stock offerings were ade
quate to tight for the moderate to good
demand. Light type fowl were fully suffi
cient for about normal processing sched
ules.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was generally noted as light to fair and
typical of normal, lighter mid- week, mid
month activity. Offerings were adequate
and in the closer, better balance on the
2.50 and 3.00 pound sizes. Heavier
weights were available and somewhat
slow in clearing. Live supplies were mod
erate; weights were desirable to heavy.
Less than trucklot asking prices were un
changed at 59 to 68 cents. Trade senti
ment was about steady. In the parts com
plex, wings were well cleared to short.
Bone-in breasts were fully adequate.
Other cuts were adequate and in manage
able balance.
