Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
August 6,2003
Report Supplied By USDA
Grain bids were higher for the day,
while soybeans were mix. Wheat saw the
most gains today due to the Egyptian
purchase of 120,000 tons of soft white and
red winter wheat. In the corn and soybean
pits traders are keeping an eye on the
weather as it remains the major focus. In
the western corn-belt there is some mois
ture but there are spots where com is
stressed. Wheat was 7-10 cents higher.
Com 1-4 cents higher. Sorghum 2-4 cents
higher. Soybeans was mix, from 2 cents
lower to 2 cents higher.
