In Chicago and New York, prices were
higher on all sizes. Prices were unchanged
in other areas, but all sizes were trending
higher. The market tone ranged fully
steady to firm. Demand into all outlets
was moderate to very good, best where
features were in progress. Supplies were
about adequate to very tight and the
heavier sizes were reported as short in
California. Breaking stock demand was
moderate to mostly good for tight to occa
sionally sufficient supplies. Light type
fowl were fully sufficient for the light to
fair demand.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was mostly fair to moderate and about as
expected for mid-week trading. Offerings
'were sufficient for current needs with
heavier sizes in the better balance. Live
supplies were moderate; weights were de
sirable to heavy. Processor schedules were
moderate. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 59 to 68 cents.
Trade sentiment was generally steady. In
the parts complex, breast items and wings
in good balance and well cleared.
Leg quarters were about adequate.
