Trade sentiment was steady to fully
steady in the West and Midwest, mostly
steady elsewhere. Demand was typically
slow to moderate with light trading, but
expected to improve for first of the
month. Supplies were mixed, but overall
sufficient to handle trade needs. In the
parts structure, movement was fair to
moderate for mid-week trading. Boneless
skinless breasts were balance to tight and
moving well, with alt other breast cuts at
least adequate. Dark meat was sufficient
aided by export business, and wings were
readily available. In production areas, live
supplies were moderate. Weights were
mostly desirable to occasionally light.

ums. Trade sentiment was steady to fully
steady with larger sizes in the strongest
position. Demand was moderate to very
good, best where features were in pro
gress. Supplies ranged sufficient to in
stances tight for current needs. Breaking
stock demand was moderate to occasion
ally very good for short to adequate offer
ings. Light type hens were fully sufficient
for regular to at times heavy processing
schedules.

larger sizes were trending slightly higher.
The market tone was steady to occasion
ally fully steady. Demand was moderate
to good. Supplies were adequate to closely

fully sufficient for slaughter requirements.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: The market tone on frozen 8-16
lb hens and 16-24 lb toms was steady. No
trading was reported. Demand was very
light on prompt and deferred shipments.
Offerings adequate. Bulk parts and meats
trading was light. Demand was moderate.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS:
Trading centered on a moderate volume
of tom drums and frozen thigh meat, bal
ance slow. Export demand from Russia,
Mexico and Asia noted. Supplies are
mixed.

Trucklot buying activity was fair to
moderate during mid-week trading as
dealers kept floor stocks in close balance
with immediate needs. Offerings of bone
less-skinless breasts were in close balanccc
and well cleared. Bone-in breasts were at
least adequate. Dark meat items were
about adequate and clearing with the ex
ception of thighs which were available.
Wings were adequate. Retail and distribu
tive movement was mostly fair. The mar
ket tone was at least steady to fully steady
on boneless-skinless breasts; steady to
about steady on the balance.
