YORK (York Co.) Rutter’s
Dairy, York, is home of the top
milk-producing Guernsey herd in
Pennsylvania and the eighth
highest herd in the nation. This is
the fourth straight year Rutter’s
received the Gold Star breeders’
award at the recent National
Guernsey Convention in Wiscon
sin. Only 21 herds in the nation
received this award.
Rutter’s Dairy is also home to

WATSONTOWN (Northum

host a pasture walk on his Wat
sontown farm Aug. 8 from 10
a.m. to noon.
Zook intensively grazes 50
Holsteins on SO acres of pasture,
and makes about 25 acres of hay.

Lily was bestowed the honor of

Club.
Lily also tied for the seventh
highest milk-producing Guernsey
in the country and was first in
the nation for milk production
among Guernseys shown by jun-
clude orchardgrass, perennial
ryegrass, bromegrass, and clo
vers.
The farm is located north of
Dewart. From Rt. 405, turn onto
Musser Lane and travel a quarter
mile to the first farm on the left.
From Rt. 54, a few miles west of
1-180, take Musser lane to the the
west and go 1.75 miles to farm on
