After a tornado destroyed the cow barn in 1998, Wendell and Dar
lene Yoder had it rebuilt and kept on dairying. The Yoders .itensively
graze the milking herd of 60-plus cows on up to 70 acres of grassland,
depending on growing conditions. Pastures consist mostly of or
chardgrass and reed canary grass. They also grow 25 acres of corn for
