Movement of ready-to cook whole birds
was light and unaggressive. Seller offer
ings were adequate to ample and were
more readily available on the lighter
weight sizes. Live supplies were moderate;
weights were desirable to light. Processing
schedules were moderate. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged at
59 to 68 cents. Trade sentiment remained
no better than steady. In the parts com
plex, drums continued to clear well, close
ly followed by legs and leg quarters. Other
items were at least adequate for a some
what lackluster activity and premiums
were often reduced to stimulate buyer in
terest.

to slightly higher on both light and heavy
canners when compared to a week earlier.
Demand was mostly moderate for mostly
light but sufficient offerings; additional
heavy canners held with confidence. The
undertone was seasonal but generally
steady.
