Compared to Thursday, slaughter cows sold
mostly 1.00 to 2.00 lower on moderate offerings
of poorer quality cows. Majority of the supplies
consisted of the leaner grade cows. Slaughter
bulls sold steady to 3.00 lower as quality was
not comparable to last week, as quality was
poor on the heavier weights. The cattle supply
included 193 head of slaughter cows and 62
head slaughter bulls. All cattle and sheep quotes
are by the hundredweight

Sheep and Lambs: Compared to last Monday,
slaughter lambs under 85 lbs sold sharply high
er, with 30-40 lbs lambs trading as much as
36.00 higher at 215.00 lbs. Heavier weight lambs
traded steady. Bucks traded steady to firm with
sheep steady to weaker. Bidding was active on
higher quality lambs within each weight group.

Slaughter Goats; Compared to last Monday,
Kid goats sold mixed, from 10.00 lower to 8.00
higher. Yearlings, no market comparison due to
last weeks light test, however a firm undertone
was noted. Nannies traded mixed from 9.00
lower to 4.00 higher than last Monday. Billies
traded mixed from 10.00 lower to 6.00 higher.
Wethers sold sharply higher. Most attention
was seen on higher quality lighter weight weth
ers that traded as much as 24.00 higher. All
goats are sold by the head, with estimated

Compared to Tuesday, High Choice and Prime
slaughter steers sold steady to mostly 2.00 high
er, while the Choice steers sold mostly steady to

buyers than normal trying to seek out the high
er quality steers. Slaughter Holsteins sold gener
ally steady on average quality. Slaughter heifers
sold firm on the High Choice and Prime, while
the Choice heifers were steady to weaker.
Slaughter cows sold higher, with the flesher
cows as much as 3.00 to 4.00 higher, while the
lean cows were only 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Slaugh
ter bulls sold generally steady. The supply in
