Compared to last week:Feeder steers and
steer calves steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder
heifers and heifer calves steady to 1.00
lower. Yearling Stockers steady. Demand
good though not as robust as last week.
Hot dry conditions plus a good market
has many cattle moving to town. Flint
hills and Osage cattle are moving or pre
paring to move, big video sale starting
Tuesday, and larger Oklahoma auction
receipts giving buyers a larger selection.
Quality of supply plain to average with
numerous plainer type Brahma cross. Top
flight northern quality yearlings scarce.
Receipts this week 14,550; last week
7430; last year 9659, Supply consisted of
79% over 600 lbs; 19% calves; 2% cows
and bulls. Heifers comprised 41% of feed
er & calf supply.
