Demand ranged light to good with scat tered features stimulating some addition al interest at retail outlets. In the Mid west, hot weather was reported as affecting overall demand. Also, in some areas, severe storms disrupted operations and transportation. Supplies were mostly adequate to closely balanced. Breaking stock offerings were sufficient to fully adequate for the moderate to good de mand. Light type hens were sufficient to hilly adequate for the light to fair de mand. New York Broilers/Fryers ATLANTA, GA. July 8,2003 Report Supplied By USDA Trucklot buying activity on ready-to cook whole broiler/ftyers was fair to mod erate overall. Offerings of the 3.5 pound and larger birds remained in good bal ance. However, the 3 pound and smaller sizes were adequate to available. Retail and distributive movement was fair at best.
