The supply included some high quality hogs from some local reputation feeders which drew very good buyer attention. Barrows and gilts are trading from 47.50-48.00 at the terminal market in Sioux falls on Monday, which is 2.50-3.00 higher. All hogs are sold by their actual weights with prices quoted by the hundred weight. Compared to last week, slaughter pigs sold very uneven for the second consec utive week. Demand increased for the lighter 20-30 pound pigs as a higher un dertone was noted. Prices for the 30-40 pounders has been very good for the past month, however prices trended with a lower undertone on Wednesday. The fin ished hog market has been very sporadic with prices up to 50.00 at times; in Sioux Falls on Wednesday barrows and gilts had once again moved lower to 42.00. All pigs sold at the Wednesday graded sale continue to go to slaughter as mandated until further notice. All pigs are graded on arrival, and sold on their in-weights; with prices below quoted per hundred weight.
