silverplated or sterling container. Looks
to be Victorian. The markings are S. F.
in a circle and then in another circle a
profile of a person. The blue design on
the sides is like a shield. Can you identi
fy it?

originally had a glass insert. It is in
the Arts and Crafts Style
(1895-1920) and from your photo
appears to be pewter.
There were many workers in metal
ware who worked in the Arts &
Crafts style. It could sell at auction
for $4OO or more.
I have recently come into possession
of a New Home Whippet Sewing ma
chine.
After doing my own research I have
determine it is early 18th century. Can
you give me any information? It has a
bobbin holder bullet shaped.
The bobbin is egg shaped.
