Compared to last week, the lots of U.S.
1-2 slaughter pigs that were comparable
sold fully 5.00-15.00 lower. The bulk of
the U.S. 2 supply that was comparable
sold sharply lower. All pigs sold at the
Wednesday graded sale remain mandated
to go to kill until further notice, with this
week's run over 200 head lighter than the
previous week. All pigs are graded on ar
rival, and sold on their in-weights; with
prices below quoted per hundred weight.

Compared to last week, barrows and
gilts sold 5.00 to mostly 6.00 higher in
very active trading. Finished prices nation
wide were sharply higher over the past
week, for example, the Sioux Falls termi
nal hog market experienced a 6.50 ad
vance to close at 43.50 on Friday. With
early week prices up to 44.00 in the termi
nal markets on Monday May 12th. All
hogs are sold by their actual weights with
prices quoted by the hundred weight. Per
