DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: Trade sentiment was steady at
best on retail sized hens, mostly steady on
toms. Offers were fully adequate for the
limited buyers interest. Supplies of breast
meat and trims were easily obtainable.
Cooked and deli demand improved but
was not up to expectations. Trading was
fairly good on plant grade and A grade
4-8 pound breasts at steady prices. Plant
grade basted 16-18
pound breasts trad
ed at 80 cents.

Trade sentiment was cautiously steady.
Demand into all channels ranged light to
moderate. Supplies were adequate to at
times ample with the larger sizes in the
longest position. Breaking stock demand
was light to moderate for adequate to
tight supplies. Light type hens were hilly
sufficient for normal to reduced slaughter
schedules.
