Hog Auction
NEW HOLLAND, PA
April 28,2003
Report Supplied By CSDA
Receipts: 911 Last Week: 516 Last
Year: 936. Compared to last week, bar
rows and gilts sold mostly 4.00 higher.
Bidding was very active, with a relatively
nice supply on hand. At the Sioux Falls,
South Dakota and St. Paul, Minnesota
terminal markets prices for 220-270
pounders were from 39.00-41.00 on Mon
day; which shows prices are extremely
bullish no matter what sale bam you're
sitting in. For week ending April 2Sth, the
western hog market had advanced
6.00-6.50, and by the looks of things early
in the week it shows no signs of stopping.
