    Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection
WASHINGTON, D.C., Mar. 28 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat pro
duction under federal inspection for the week ending Saturday, March 29,
was estimated at 858.0 million lb, according to the USDA's Agricultural
Marketing Service. This was 3.1 percent lower than a week ago and 1.3
percent higher than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year
to date was 0.4 percent lower compared to the previous year.
