The Perry County Dairy Promotion Committee is seeking males and females ages 6 to 24 to help in the promotion of nature’s most perfect food MILK! Girls aged 16 to 24 can vie for the title of Perry County Didry Princess. Girls or boys aged 14 and IS can serve as a Dairy Am bassador, while girls 12 and 13 serve as a Dairy Maid. Girls aged 9-11 can serve as a Dairy Miss, while girls age 6-8 can serve as a LiT Dairy Miss. The age the girl will be on July 1, will determine what position she may hold. All of these posi tions offer a chance to promote milk and milk products as well as meet many new and interesting people on the local and state level. Girls are eligible to seek the title of Perry County Dairy Prin cess if they are a Perry County resident and meet at least one of the following criteria: is a daugh ter of either a dairy fanner, farm manager or herdsman, or some one employed in a dairy related industry; employed by a dairy re lated business; have at least 2 head of dairy animals in a 4-H or FFA contest prior to May 1; or was a Dairy Maid or Dairy Am bassador for 1 full year. Youth Sought Promotion single, never have been married or had children and is not allow ed to marry during her reign. She will be eligible to compete for the title of Pennsylvania Dairy Prin cess at the state pageant in Harrisburg in September. In order to compete for the title of Pennsylvania Dairy Prin cess, the Perry County Dairy Princess must attend the Penn sylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Service’s training seminar July 8-11, in William sport, PA. All candidates for Perry County Dairy Princess will be required to present a 3 to 5 minute skit and give a 3 to 5 min ute speech on the dairy industry or related topics at the Perry County Dairy Princess Pageant to be held June 7, at the Perry Valley Grange, Millerstown. Dairy Ambassadors and Dairy Maids need to live in Perry County, be a genuine milk drink er and user of REAL dairy prod ucts, be the child of a dairy farm er, dairy farm manager or employee, own dairy cattle or be the child, grand-child, niece, nephew, sister, or brother of someone employed full-time in a dairy related industry.
