Museum To Teach Dye Gardening , Dye Making
LANDIS VALLEY (Lancaster Co.) Come
to Landis Valley on Thursday, March 27 from
6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. to enjoy a special adult-only
workshop featuring natural dyes and dye gar-
dening.
Participants will learn the basics of dye-mak
ing using plant materials, and design their own
dye garden to plant this spring. Refreshments
will also be served. Pre-registration is required,
and interested persons should call the museum's
education department at (717) 569-0401, ext.
254 to do so. The cost for the workshop is $l5.
Landis Valley Museum is a nationally signifi
cant living history village dedicated to collecting,
preserving, and interpreting the history and cul
ture of the Pennsylvania German community
from 1740-1940.

LANDIS VALLEY (Lancaster Co.) Satur
day, March 22, from noon to 2 p.m., Landis Val
ley Museum will hold a special workshop explor
ing several folk toys that have entertained
children and adults for generations.
Join us at the museum, and make up to three
traditional folk toys to take with you. Children 8
and older can be dropped off for an afternoon of
fun, or adults can join their child for some fun
time together. The $l2 workshop cost includes
all materials, and a museum admission for that
day. Phone ahead to pre-register for the class.
