unchanged on whole, but lower on yolks
when compared to previous week’s trad
ing The market tone remained firm on
whites, generally steadv on whole, and
barely steadv on yolks Demand was
mostly light to moderate with supplies
limited on whites to at least adequate on
volks Liquid and frozen eggs (ingredients
included) processed under federal inspec
tion in the Fastern region for the week
ending February 22, 2003 were 11% less
than the previous week, and 14% lower
than a year ago

prices were trending higher on the larger
sizes. Trade sentiment was steady to fully
steady Demand ranged light to at times

ty. Supplies were in close balance to fully
adequate for full trade needs Breaking
stock supplies were generally sufficient

mand. Breaking schedules were normal to

EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Export trading was moderate on thigh
meat, light on balance Hen necks traded
at 11 cents and mature hen thigh meat at
45 cents delivered port. Fresh thigh meat
was 52 cents to the border. Inquiries for
tom drums were circulating.

tail demand was mixed, mostly slow to
moderate; however, optimism was high in
parts of the Midwest as the area prepares
