WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 21 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat
production under federal inspection for the week ending Saturday, Feb.
22, was estimated at 853.1 million lb, according to the USDA's
Agricultural Marketing Service. This was 0.8% lower than a week ago
and 1.2% lower than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the
year to date was 1.3% lower compared to the previous year.
