National Slaughter Cattle Review as of
2 p.m,: Slaughter cattle demand was very
good in the Southern Plains and light to
moderate in the North. Compared to last
week live sales were mostly 82.00 trending
2.00 to 3.00 higher. Few dressed sales in
Nebraska ranging from mostly 126.00 to
127.00 but there were not enough sales to
establish an adequate market trend.

reported on 81.0 loads of pork cuts and
17.0 loads of trim/process pork. Com
pared to Monday’s Close: Fresh loins
2.00-4.00 lower; boston butts steady to
2.00 higher; skinned hams steady; seed
less bellies not tested; lean trimmings
mostly 2.00 lower. Trading slow to mod
erate, with light to moderate demand and
mostly moderate offerings.
