Don't Judge Com Rootworm
Protection by Root Ratings Alone
Root ratings are generally the criteria by which soil
insecticides are compared. While they do provide an
indicanomof how well an msecnude protects roots from
rootworm feeding, choosing the insecticide with the best
rating doesn’t mean you’re going to turn a profit
The fact is, all leading insecucides under normal root
worm pressure protect roots at levels below thresholds of
economic damage The real measurement is return on
investment
Purdue University trials' conducted since 1991 show
that while some insecticides may have slighdy better root
ratings, Lorsban* 15G insecticide offers the highest yields
and best return on investment
Lorsban 15G returns an average of 10 8 bushels more
corn per acre than untreated plots, resulting in a profit of
$5 28 per acre The only other insecticide to return a profit
is Force 3G insecticide at just 2 cents per acre
In fact, Counter 20CR, Regent 4SC, Fortress 5G and
Aztec 2 1G insecticides each showed a negative return,
with Aztec losing sfi 78 per acre
Here are a few other facts about Lorsban 15G
• Lorsban 15G also controls all species of cutworms,
grubs, seed com maggots, wireworm and other pests
•The fungicidal activity found only in Lorsban 15G
promotes seedling health that protects seedlings from
soilborne fiingi that can limit early toot development
and lead to stalk rot
• Lorsban 15G is compatible with
all commonly used herbicides,
including Calhsto.
• Lorsban 15G is the only non
restncted use corn insecticide
and carries a CAUTION
warning - the lowest human
hazard signal word and best
handling profile of any
insecticide

benefits of Lorsban 15G, contact
