Cattle slaughter under federal inspec
tion on Tuesday was estimated at 129,000
head compared to 132,000 a week ago
and 130,000 a year ago. Week to date
254,000 head compared to 265,000 a week
ago and 252,000 a year ago.

belt was .75 lower, price range of

Hog slaughter under federal inspection
on Tuesday was estimated at 378,000
head compared to 377,000 a week ago
and 371,000 a year ago. Week to date
757,000 head compared to 735,000 a week
ago and 740,000 a yeaf ago.

firmed sales this week about 59% slaugh
ter lambs, 41% ewes and an additional
411 head of goats. Total sheep and lambs
sales 600, last week 1000 and year ago
