January 22,2003
Report Supplied By USDA
Trade sentiment was barely steady to at
times weak in the East, steady elsewhere.
Retad demand was limited to fair with
few features. Food service was slow to
moderate, best for fast food promotions
and into hotel restaurants in the Midwest
Supplies of all sizes were more than suffi
cient to satisfy trade needs with heavier
sizes frequently more available. In the
parts structure, breast items were no more
than adequate to tight and clearing well
of an active call. Interest for wings was
not as assertive as previous weeks, but
was strong enough to keep supplies close
to well cleared. Leg quarters were moving
well, but the remaining dark meat items
were readily available. In production
areas, live supplies were moderate at
weights in a full range
We'll never stop turning heads.
