Export optimism and hind buying on
the Boards were supportive today as grain
and soybean bids moved upward. Wheat
1 to 13 cents higher. Corn 4 to 6 cents
higher. Sorghum 9 to 10 cents higher.
Soybeans 1 to 2 cents higher.
Egypts substantial wheat purchase
overnight was just what wheat bids
needed. Light technical buying was noted
in wheat pits in reaction to the sale.
Com and soybean bids continued to
advance due to fund buying and talks of

China is expected to need soy- beans or
bean by-products which has bids climbing
higher. Some weather concerns continued
to support bids as most areas where win
ter wheat is growing remain dry as well as
the Com Belt Region. Traders also await
government reports due out later in the
week.

sale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Feedstuff prices were lower for the week
as mills reopened after the Holiday’s and
inventories readily available. However,
soybean meal prices jumped higher on
improved demand and stronger oil trade.
Most feed demand remained steady to
slow as many users still have supplies
from forward purchases but a warm up in
parts of the Midwest the past week and
into this week also slowed buying.
SOYBEAN MEAL: 48 percent rail was
3.50 to 4.50 higher from 168.50-171.50.48
percent truck was 4.50 to 5.50 higher at
173.50-181.50 per ton.
CORN BY-PRODUCTS: Gluten Feed
21 percent. Interior Points was stead to
3.00 lower at 65.00-72.00; Chicago was
steady to 1.00 higher at 68.00-75.00. 60
percent Gluten Meal, Interior Points 5.00
lower from 240.00-250.00; Chicago steady
from 250.00-255.00 per ton. Rail Hominy
Feed, Central Illinois Points was 7.00 to
11.00 lower from 72.00-79.00; truck was
steady to 6.00 lower at 75.00-82.00. Crude
Corn Oil was 50 points higher from
