Prices were unchangd.Trade sentiment
was at best steady. Demand was light to
occasionally good, best where limited fea
ture activity was a factor. The New York
shell egg inventory was 4 percent higher,
however, the New Jersey shell egg invent
gory was 6 percent lower when compared
to last week. Supplies were fully adequate
for trade needs.

Buyers, USDA Grade A and Grade A,
White Eggs in Cartons, delivered store
door, cents per dozen: Extra Large 69-73;
Large 67-71; Medium 53-57.

Trucklot buying activity was mostly
fair and noted as typical of midweek trad-
ing as dealers continued with a cautious
and selective posture. Offerings of bone-in
breasts ranged balanced to adequate,
however, boneless-skinless breasts were at
least sufficient. Dark meat cuts were ade
quate to available, although, thighs were
in a better balance. Retail and distributive
draw was limited. The market tone was
firm on wings and about steady on the
balance.

Prices were unchanged, however all
sizes were trending higher. The market
tone ranged steady to mostly fully steady.
Demand into all outlets was light to good,
best into feature activity. Large eggs were
advertised as two 18-packs for $3. Sup-
plies were mixed, but were usually ade
quate to closely balanced for trade needs.
Breaking stock offerings were about ade
quate to fully adequate for the light de
mand. Light type hens were at least suffi
cient for slaughter needs.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was mostly fair to moderate. Offerings
were adequate and generally in best bal
ance on 3 pound sizes, heavier sizes were
at least adequate. Live supplies were mod
erate: weights were in a full range of light
to heavy. Processors schedules were mod
erately heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 60 to 71 cents.
Trade sentiment was at least steady. In
the parts comp!ex,wings were in close bal
ance and clearing satisfactorily. Thighs
were about adequate. Other items were
sufficient for trade needs.
