Founded here 112 years ago, the company continues to manufac ture tillage equipment for a vari ety of agricultural needs across the U.S. Brillion Ironworks, Inc. had maintained a steady presence at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg through the middle and latter part of the century. By 1990, however, the decreasing emphasis on production agricul ture at the Farm Show caused the company to withdraw from exhibiting until now. Visitors to the 2003 Farm Show Jan. 11-18 will again be able to look at Brillion imple ments on site and have their questions answered by Brillion territory manager Terry Shawver of Carlisle. Brillion travels to farm ma chinery shows around the coun try, but Shawver said the show in Information Agriculture Conference Set For 2003 NORCROSS, Ga. The sixth Information Agriculture Confer ence. InfoAg 2003, is scheduled for July 30 through Aug. 1, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, Indianapolis Airport. An optional precision agricul ture field day is planned for Tuesday, July 29, preceding the conference. The field day will be hosted by Purdue University and by Ag One Co-op of Wilkinson, Ind. Included in Brillion’s line-up is a series of “zone-tillage” sub-soil- Award for precision agriculture, presented by Crop Life magazine. At the Davis-Purdue Agricultural Center in eastern Indiana, re searchers and cooperators are conducting a wide variety of site specific management and remote sensing projects. Keynote speaker for InfoAg 2003 will be Bruce Vincent, agri culture advocate known for de veloping positive programs and messages directed to community groups and children.
