WASHINGTON. D C., Dec 6 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat
production under federal inspection foi the week ending Saturday, Dec 7,
was estimated at 927 2 million lbs., according to the USDA's
Agricultural Marketing Service This was 9.2% higher than a week ago
and 1 7% lower than a year ago. Cumulative meat production tor the year
to date was 3 0% higher compared to the previous year
