Trade sentiment was generally steady
in the West, about steady elsewhere. De
mand was seasonally slow to instances
fair, slightly better where ads and promo
tions were active, but strongest for the
more traditional holiday items. Supplies
of all sizes were at least adequate for
limited trade needs. In the parts struc
ture, all items were at least adequate to
available. In production areas, live sup
plies were moderate at mixed but mostly
desirable weights.
The 12-CITY Weighted Average Price
for II'AS/02 was 53.36, compared to 53.31
last week, and 58.82 a year ago.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: The market tone on frozen
whole body hens and toms was mostly
steady. Fresh and frozen turkeys winding
down for the Thanksgiving holiday. Re
duced slaughters this week will rebound
for the Christmas holiday. No sales re
ported. Fresh and frozen offerings un
even. Bulk parts and meat demand was
seasonally slow.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS:
Demand and trading was seasonally slow.
Most interest coming from Mexico. Offer-
ings mixed.

were lower on mediums. Elsewhere,
prices remained unchanged. The market
tone was mostly steady. Demand ranged
moderate to very good, best where fea
tures for Thanksgiving were in progress.
Supplies were adequate to available for
immediate trade requirements. Breaking
stock offerings were short to fully ade
quate for the light to good demand. Light
type fowl were sufficient for processing
needs.

Prices were lower on medium sizes,
however large and extra large were un
changed. The market tone was generally
steady. Retail demand was moderate to
good, best where featured. Large eggs
were advertised at 99 cents per dozen.
Large 18 pack eggs were on sale for 1.29
each. The New York shell egg inventory
decreased 2%, however the New Jersey
shell egg inventory increased 14% when
compared to last Monday. Supplies were
adequate to fully adequate for current
needs.

higher at 167.00-172.00 per ton.
