BEAVER SPRINGS (Snyder Co.) Members of the Happy Valley 4-H Livestock Club, Back yard Bunnies 4-H Club, Selins grove FFA, Middleburg FFA and West Snyder FFA sold their mar ket project animals at the annual Youth Livestock Fair during the 74th Annual Beaver Community Fair. A total of 150 lots were sold on the auction including nine meat pens of rabbits, nine single firyer rabbits, 38 market lambs, 56 mar ket hogs, 25 dairy beef feeder steers and 13 market steers. The grand champion meat pen of rabbits was owned by Ronnie Hauck of Winfield. David Petros ki purchased the meat pen for $335. Hauck is a member of the Selinsgrove FFA. The owner of the reserve champion meat pen was Matthew Shea, son of Brian and Kathy Shea, Mt. Pleasant Mils. BDI The Auction Guy (Bryan Imes) purchased the re serve champion meat pen for $265. Matt is a member of the Backyard Bunnies 4-H Club. The grand champion single firyer rabbit was owned by Nevin Shea and purchased by Apex Homes, Inc. of Middleburg for $175. Nevin is the son of Brian and Kathy Shea of Mt. Tiffany Hoffman, daughter of Trent and Carol Hoff man,Middleburg, exhibited the 117-pound grand champion market lamb, which sold for $6OO to Hallmark Feeds. Se lena Hollenbach, Middle burg, exhibited the 120-pound reserve champion market lamb, which was purchased by BDI The Auc tion Guy for $3OO. Both win ners are members of Selins grove FFA. The grand champion mar ket hog was exhibited by Tyler Davis, son of Bob and Gwen Davis, Beavertown. The 254-pound crossbred ICE CREAM FREEZER ! Davis is a member of the Happy Valley 4-H Livestock Club. The reserve champion market hog, a 262-pound crossbred exhibited by Tiffany Hoffman, was purchased by Glenn Wiand of Hallmark Feeds for $4OO. The grand champion dairy beef feeder steer was exhibited by Isaac Hassinger, son of Ken and Sally Hassinger, McClure. The 432-pound steer was sold to Mid dleburg Area Market and Auc tion LLC for $5OO. Michael Hoff man exhibited the 372-pound reserve champion dairy beef feed er steer bought by Conestoga Wood of Beavertown for $625. Michael is the son of Jonathan and Sherrie Hoffman of Mt. Caleb Hoffman, a member of the Happy Valley 4-H Livestock Club, exhibited the 1,170-pound reserve champion market steer, which was purchased by R. J. Hoffman and Sons for $1,350. Caleb is the son of Jonathan and Sherrie Hoffman of Mt. Pleasant Mills.
