Dairylea Honors High Quality Milk Producers SYRACUSE' N.Y. Dairylea Cooperative, Inc. honored member producers with top quality milk through the 2001-2002 Milk Quality Management Award Program at its annual meeting Oct. 15 and 16 in Liverpool, NY. For the past 18 years, Dairylea’s quality program has recognized members who produce outstanding raw milk. Each month, milk samples from every Dairylea member farm are tested based on industry criteria, including somatic cell count of 300,000 or less, no added water, no growth inhibitors, and no off flavor, odor or questionable appearance.
