HORNBAKER SALE A public auction was conducted on Saturday, Oct, 26 lor Paul and Grace Hornbaker, Ship pensburg. Highlights included a 1966 Case 530 tractor, $2,800; a 1950 Oliver 66 tractor, $2,300; a Case 1H 1560 manure spreader, $3,600; a 1997 Hudson 20-foot trailer, $3,050; and a NH 451 sickle bar mower, $B5O. Andrew and Nevin Martin Auctioneers con ducted the sale. MELLINGERSALE A three-bedroom house on a large I.S-acre lot, located at 1063 Chestnut Level Road in Drumore Township, brought $145,000 at an auction for John and Mary Mellinger on Sat urday, Oct. 19. Henry Esh of Quarryville, pur chased the property. Probst Family Auction Service of Willow Street, conducted the auction. GRIMACY SALE A 12-foot by 60-foot mobile home situated on a 3 A-acre lot with a full basement brought $Bl,OOO at an auction on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for Helen Grimacy. The property was located at 781 Hollow Road in New Providence. Ben King of Quarryville, purchased the property. Also sold was a 1992 29’ Holiday Rambler Aluma Lite Free Spirit travel trailer, which brought $5,6000. A 1985 Chevrolet Ce lebrity station wagon (with 79,000 miles) brought $6OO. KLINE SALE A custom-built 1 'h story house with four bedrooms, two baths, two fireplaces and two family rooms on a 1-acre shaded lot sold for $285,000 at a public sale on Oct. 18. Kent and Susan Halsey of East Early bought the property at 534 Willow Street, Adamstown. The seller was Shirley Kline of Adamstown. The house has 2,240 square feet of finished living space and included an attic, full basement and an attached two-car garage. The sale was con ducted by Kline, Kreider and Good Auctioneers, Stevens. MARTIN SALE A 2'/2-story house on a six-tenths-of-an-acre lot sold for $135,000 at a public sale conducted Tuesday, Oct. 22, for Daryl and Sue Martin.
