Mark Schweiker, Agriculture Secretary Sam Hayes sent his best wishes to Pennsylvania’s ' FFA members traveling to Louisville, Ky., to represent the commonwealth during competition at the 75th Na tional FFA Convention. “FFA members continue to repre sent the bright future of agriculture,” Hayes said. ‘To these members I offer every good wish as they com pete in their respective competitions. “In Louisville, the FFA program will celebrate its 75th year. This is a great milestone for agriculture educa tion. The Department of Agriculture is proud to support the FFA pro gram.” The 75th annual convention began Oct. 30 and runs through Nov. 2. Pennsylvania will be represented by the Pennsylvania state officer team with a display in the “Hall of States” competition. The display will depict FFA and agriculture’s leader ship role in the state and on the plan et. Sherisa Brammer of Cumberland Valley FFA Chapter, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, will compete with 41 other FFA members from across the U.S. for one of six posi tions on the 2002-2003 National Offi cer Team.
