KET: Majority prices were unchanged
to slightly higher on both light and heavy
canners when compared to a week earlier.
Demand was fairly good. Supplies and of
ferings were in a full range but usually in
close balance. The undertone was steady
to fully steady.

HENS: Line run without necks: 21-26,
majority 21-22. HEAVY CANNER
HENS - Without necks: 29-36, mostly

LIGHTS: The market tone on frozen 8-16
lb hens was fully steady to firm, with
12-16 lb hens mixed. Toms 16-24 lb
steady to barely steady. Limited sales re
ported of frozen for fill-in needs. Fresh re
mains main interest for the upcoming No
vember holiday. Fresh sales reported for
November hens at 75 cents and toms 70
cents. Fresh offerings ranged light to ade
quate. Frozen demand was light to mod
erate. Supplies ranged from short to in
stances adequate. Weights mixed for
availability. Bulk meats and parts trading
slow. Demand light with most interest for
export. ■
