Heavy cat tle still a burden and taking discounts of up to 25.00 per cwt. Boxed beef prices continue to falter this week but movement has improved to almost double the previ ous week. USDA’s boxed beef cut-out val ues Friday noon averaged 104.20 down 1.87 from last Friday. Sales of slaughter cattle on a national basis for negotiated cash trades were a minimal 57,900 head through 10:00 a.m. Friday. Last week’s full count was 147.000 head.
