Color Of Horses Book
BARNESVILLE, Ohio The
book “Color of Horses” has been
published for the sixth printing
according to illustrator Darol
Dickinson of Barnesville, Ohio.
The book is regarded as the sci
entific and authoritative identifi
cation of the color of horses
around the world.
The book contains reproduc
tions of 34 oil paintings created
to exact color specifications by
Darol Dickinson. Each color pro
duction shows variations in col
ors as represented in numerous
breeds of horses found world
wide. The colors are matched to
the exact breeds of commonly
found horses.

SALINA, Kansas If now is
the time to add to or rework your
tack room, think about including
the new saddle rack from Winkel
Mfg. Start with one- or two-tier

adding up to two more tiers to
help clarify your goals before you
begin your search,” Mulrooney
says. “The tips in ‘Myths and
Wives Tales of Feeding
Horses’ will give you great
er confidence in what and
how you feed your horse.”
Dr. Ben Green, the author,
passed away the week after the
first printing. In the absence of
the author, Dickinson assisted
with revisions and the current
sixth printing update.
The original 34 paintings were
created in oil and were 20 inches

Dickinson, once a member of
the Cowboy Artists of America,
created the paintings for the best
selling book prior to relocating to
Ohio. He now manages Dickin
son Cattle Company, Inc.
