CATTLE: Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers and heifers were not
tested due to the light supply. Slaughter
cows sold mostly steady on fairly active
bidding. Breaking and Boning cows were
in very short supply, as lean cows made
up the majority of the run. However, the
few fleshier cows that were available sold
fully steady on good demand. Slaughter
bulls sold with a weaker undertone on a
fairly good run. Slaughter cows made up
approximately 47 percent of the run.

CATTLE: Compared to Thursday, the
bulk of the slaughter steers sold fully
.50-.75 lower, with plainer quality steers
trading with instances of .50-1.00 lower.
However, buyers were anxious to procure
the handful of fancy high dressing steers
on offer, where a few topped the market
at 68.50. Holstein steers sold with a defi
nite weaker undertone on a light test of
mixed quality, with the few slaughter
