Adams County Youth Show, Sale Results Announced
ARENDTSVILLE (Franklin
Co.) Thirty-two 4-H and FFA
members exhibited a total of 41
market swine, 27 market lambs,
and 21 markets goats before
judge Ron Miller at the 19th An
nual Adams County Youth Live
stock Show and Sale.
Chris Jeffcoat, FFA member
from Littlestown, exhibited the
grand champion market swine,
which was purchased by Rei
charts’ Slaughter Shop, Littles
town, and Bauer Bus Service,
Walkersville, Md. for $550.
The grand champion market
lamb was exhibited by Ryan
Irvin, FFA member from Gard
ners, and was purchased by Big
lerville Hardware, Biglerville,
and Growers Equipment Center,
Biglerville, for $2BO.
This year, market goats were
added to the show and sale. The
Indiana County Dairy Tour Set
HOME (Indiana Co.) The
Indiana County Farm Bureau is
hosting a farm tour at the Jewart
Dairy here Sept. 21 from 1 p.m.
to 5 p.m.
The Jewarts recently installed
a double-8 Blue Diamond Mae
stro Parallel Parlor and will be
milking from 3 to 5 p.m on the
day of the tour.
Other facilities on the dairy in
clude a Drover crowd gate, CIP
cabinets, and an Ingenious wash
ing system. The Jewarts will also

animals at the evening sale were:

conduct a hearing Oct. 2 at 11
a.m. in Room 202 of the Agricul
