Chanelle Horst’s senior 3-year-old cow, Ju-Vindale Jolt Apricot, was named grand cham pion cow in both youth and open divisions at the recent Southeast Pennsylvania Holstein Champi onship Show. Apricot is the first district champion exhibited by Horst in her eight-year show career. Apri cot was bred by Vince and Juliet Wagner and was also named re serve champion Holstein at the Lebanon Fair Holstein Youth Show three weeks ago. Horst is a student at Elco High School and lives on the 50-cow dairy farm of her parents, Kirby and Sheryl Horst, Newmans town. Bryant Hlavaty’s cow, Key stone Padre Leigh, also a senior 3-year-old, was named youth and open reserve champion and best bred and owned of the show. Hla vaty hails from Keystone Farm, Easton, Northampton County.
