CORN BELT FEEDSTUFF: Whole
sale Bids. Truck or Rail dollars per ton.
Feedstuff prices were steady to mostly
higher despite pressure from lower futur
es last week. Futures dropped consid
erably early last week, especially soy
beans, due mainly to weather and also
continued mixed emotions over produc
tion estimates to be released next week by
the USDA. The lower markets were seen
as over done which supported higher
prices later in the week, spilling over into
this week. Com markets not hit as hard
with com now finding a comfortable trad
ing zone as com is made. Moisture that
fell in the alfalfa fields should bring some
relief and hopefully viewed as beneficial.
