Gram Market
Summary
St Joseph, MO
August 14,2002
Report Supplied By USDA
Com and Soybean bids were higher
with wheat bids slightly higher only from
support of row crops. The rainfall that
moved across the Midwest was spotty
dropping 3 inches here, .25 inch there, but
basically disappointing thus lending sup
port. Rainfall has now moved into the
Eastern Combelt which could come into
play on Thursday’s markets. Concern still
lies over yields and speculation over yet
lower production estimates in September.
Warmer temperatures are now back in
the forecast taking away the relief. Wheat
steady to 3 cents higher. Com 5 to 7 cents
higher. Soybeans 10 to 14 cents higher.
Sorghum 9 to 10 cents higher.
