Grumbine said, “we got all the
major manufacturers and key
shortliners involved in what we
hope to accomplish, so I think
we’ve exceeded all of our expec
tations.
“I think all of our visitors,
come January, are going to be
pleasantly surprised with the size
and scale of the project that we’re
undertaking here to add to our
facility.”

“We made that a lot more of a
pristine area compared to where
we had it before,” he said. “The
food court is a major issue with a
lot of groups that are down there.
If it wouldn’t be for that, a lot of
ag organizations could not do the
things they do, such as research,
scholarships, and promotions.”
To kick off the new renova
tions and increased number of
exhibitors. Farm Show officials
are planning to “target the farm
er-customer,” said Grumbine.

package that will include access
to the parking areas. In addition,
these invited guests will receive a
schedule of the equipment that
will be demonstrated in the large
arena.
“We’re going to put some
equipment demonstrations on in
our Large Arena, so that with our
new renovations we will be able
to bring in sprayers, combines,
com planters, and large no-till
drills, and can show people exact
ly what they (the equipment) can
do in the arena in the dirt. I don’t
think there’s another place any
where that they can do that,” he
said.
The mailing list is being devel
oped, and the letter of invita
tion will probably go out
right in December, according
to Grumbine.
Renovations are
moving along at a
good pace, he said.
“We have close to 500
workers per day on
site and we’ve got ac
tivity going on every
where. If anybody’s
driven past, there’s
people working in
every square inch of
this facility,” he said.
Officials are hoping
that the site work on
the outside, which in
cludes regrading, will
be complete by Sept. 1.
