    Regional Fashion Revue

Berks County will participate in
the State 4-H Fashion Revue to
be conducted July 31 at Eisen
hower Auditorium on the Uni
versity Park Campus of Penn
State University.
The revue is part of Penn State
4-H Achievement Week. The
theme of this year’s revue is Cen
tury of Fashion.
As finalists from the South
eastern Regional 4-H Fashion
Revue conducted Tuesday, July 2
in Berks County, they will com
pete with 60 other 4-H’ers for a
place in the state honors group.
At the state revue, a panel of
professional judges selects 10 fi :
nalists. The entrants are judged
on garment construction, fit, de
gree of construction difficulty,
appropriateness of garment for

Kristen Tongue of Berks County.
By participating in the series of
county, regional, and state re
vues, 4-H textiles science project
members have a chance to turn
self-consciousness into self-confi
dence. They learn about ward
robe selection, the importance of
good posture, physical fitness
and other aspects of grooming.
Penn State’s Cooperative Exten
sion coordinates the 4-H program
in Pennsylvania.
