The market tone was fully steady to firm on heavier weights, but only steady at best on lighter weights. Retail demand was moderate, best where features were a factor. Large eggs were advertised at 49 cents per dozen, limit 3. Supplies ranged about ade quate to ample for needs. The New York shell egg inventories decreased 8 percent and the New Jersey shell egg inventories were 28 percent less than last week.
