mostly 1.00-3.00 higher. Trading activity
was slow and demand was light. Receipts
this week: 24% beef type steers, 0% Hol

Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection
WASHINGTON, D.C., July 5- (USDA-NASS)-Total red meat pro
duction under federal inspection for the week ending Saturday, July 6, was
estimated at 763.1 million lbs., according to the USDA's Agricultural
Marketing Service. This was 17.8% lower than a week ago and 4 3%
higher than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date
was 3.1% higher compared to the previous year.
