SCHAEFFERSTOWN (Lebanon Co.) Participants of a pasture walk and field
day at Abner Stoltzfus’s farm June i 1 examine a smorgasbord of forages en
joyed by these cows. For grazing, Stoltzfus grows a combination of perennials
and annuals, including millet, turnips, sorghum/Sudangrass, ryegrass, or
chardgrass, and clovers, in combination with a TMR.
Participants in the field day also learned parasite management methods for
pastured livestock, sprayer calibration, and spray drift management using air
induction nozzles.
