Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 13, 2002-All
“One of my goals when I became
Secretary of Agriculture was to
build a new Livestock Evaluation
Center. And, I wanted the new
Department of Agriculture facility
to be a leader in the nation.”
“In terms of a construction
updates, the required site develop
ment has been very extensive and
has consumed a considerate
amount of time. However, the
‘above-ground’ structural work
will begin in the near future.”
“The building of a new Livestock
Evaluation Center is part of the
historic construction taking place
at the Department of Agriculture.
A new greenhouse complex, con
struction at the Farm Show
Complex, plus this new Livestock
Evaluation Center provide over
$92 million for new and enhanced
structures so the Department of
Agriculture can better serve
Pennsylvania’s No. 1 industry.”
