Becky Zimmerman Crowned Juniata County Dairy Princess MEXICO (Juniata Co.) Re becca (Becky) Zimmerman was crowned the 2002-2003 Juniata County Dairy Princess Sunday, June 9, at the Walker Grange Hall. Heather Gray, 2001-2002 Juanita County Dairy Princess, presented Becky with her sash and crown during the festivities. Becky is the 16-year-old daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmerman of Oakland Mills. She is home schooled and em ployed part-time at the Lost Creek Golf Course Cafe. Becky is kept busy with art classes, vol unteering at Abundant Blessings Thrift Shop and participating in Lost Creek Mennonite Church’s youth activities. During the pageant, Becky spoke on “Agriculture from Yes terday to Today” which was geared for adult audiences. Her skit entitled “Millie Milk Facts” featured a giant milk bottle (Becky) explaining all the bene fits of the liquid (milk) inside her. This was geared towards an audi ence of third to fifth graders. Master of Ceremonies, Dan Geissinger, introduced the dairy misses, maids, ambassadors and little miss who will help Becky promote milk in Juniata County during 2002-2003. Dairy misses are Shelby Long, 7, daughter of Stephen Long and the late Cyn thia Long; Hannah Zimmerman, 8, daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmerman; and Ellen Shearer, 9, daughter of Joe and Barb Shearer. Dairy Maids are Kallye Faulkner, 11, daughter of James and Pat Faulkner; Hope Watts, 12, daughter of Edward and Doris Watts; Sarah Zimmerman, 12, daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmerman, Ashley Harshbarger, 13, daughter of Sheldon Harshbarger and Ann Harshbarger; Rachel Shearer, 15, daughter of Joe and Barb Shear er; and Beth Zimmerman, IS, daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmerman. They are joined by Dairy Ambassador Tyler Long, 5, son of Stephen Long and the late Cynthia Long; and Little Miss Mary Zimmerman, 5, daughter of Marvin and Karen Zimmer man. Prior to the June 9 festivities, Faith Watts, 16, daughter of Ed ward and Doris Watts of McAlis terville was crowned the 2002-2003 Juniata County Alter nate Dairy Princess. She is home schooled, graduating in 2003, and employed on the family farm. She is busy with 4-H, voice les sons, and being a junior church leader.
