Trading was fairly active, with the best demand for the top quality cattle. Holstein steers also traded steady to .50 higher on a moderate supply. Slaughter heifers not well tested. Feedlots in the Plains and Midwest reported live cattle steady mostly 65.00 and dressed sales were also steady mostly 102.00 as of Thursday afternoon. Slaughter cows sold steady. Slaughter bulls opened steady and closed 2.00 higher for the week. Supply included 48 percent slaughter steers, 4 percent slaughter heifers, 39 percent cows, 4 percent bulls, with the balance feeders.
